Forget the cooking! Relax and unwind! Here's an opportunity to spend time with those of like mind and spirit for Thanksgiving!
Bring your family and friends ; all are welcome to join us for a fun-filled weekend at the Westin Chicago North Shore Hotel in Wheeling , IL.
Our featured speaker is Rev. Angie Buchanan; one of the Founders and Directors of Earth Traditions and Gaia's Womb.
Angie holds a seat on the Executive Board for The Council for a Parliament of the World's Religions, (www.parliamentofreligions.org), and will share with us the important work of the Parliament and her involvement in it.
As one of the largest, oldest, and most well respected interfaith
organizations in the world, the Council for a Parliament of the World's Religions focuses on topics such as preservation of indigenous traditions, healing the Earth, nurturing relationships among people of religious difference, and providing a framework for obtaining a just, peaceful and
sustainable future, Angie reminds us that these are Pagan principles, values, and concepts and that our voices are essential in these discussions.
Angie will be leaving our gathering to attend the convening of the Parliament in Melbourne Australia, December 3-9, 2009, with an expected attendance of 8000 to 10,000 people from all over the world. The theme of this event is "Hearing Each Other, Healing the Earth".
Throughout the weekend, we'll provide some community meals and a meeting space. We'll even have children's activities for Saturday during the day so you can sneak off for some shopping or quiet adult time to enjoy the indoor pool and extensive fitness center.
Registration Cost: $100 per adult; $40 per child under 12; Under 2 is free.
