We’ve had a lot of changes in the past two months in the headquarters of Officers of Avalon. Windwalker took over as Treasurer as Guardian left for a well deserved rest. Shellie is our new secretary. Tara has retired as webmaster so I’ve taken it over and rapidly learning how much work is involved in keeping it all going. Joie is going to devote her time to the Avalon Cares charity work that she is so passionate about. These changes have inevitably led to some confusion as one group hands over files and information to another. Hopefully most of this has been sorted out by now. What complicated things for me during this transition was that my retirement from VPD was immediately followed by an intense period of training at ECOMM, which I just completed. I’m now discovering how the dispatch end of the operation works. It’s given me additional respect for our members who’ve been doing this work for years. |
